Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actor and singer. Her early Broadway shows included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Her performance in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel won her the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actress in the Play. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has worked alongside well-known directors and actors on stage and screen. She continues this award-winning career by working on new projects. Ashford will be next seen alongside Kumail Nannjiani as part of Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited Series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford's current project includes the Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust which he is starring in with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. In the form of it is a Hulu Original, the film will be a part of Disney DTC's platforms. Ashford's Broadway return will take place in the month of March 2023, when he stars opposite Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton is the director of the show. Ashford has been seen most recently as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The show centers around the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the first impeachment proceeding in America in Over 100 Years. The two-season run she had on the CBS comedy B Positive was her first major character. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also included Ben Vereen as well as Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the character that was originally played by Lauren In Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway credits.
