Garner was given her first major part with "13 going on thirty", a romantic comedy that was highly acclaimed. She was a teen woman trapped in the body of an adult. Garner was appointed ambassador for Save the Children U.S.A. in 2009. The job entails the promotion of national education, nutrition, and literacy as well as early education.
